Lake Texoma Revisited

Well. I finally remembered to pick up the photos of Father's Day and the trip Jenn and I took to Lake Texoma. It stayed sort of cloudy and comfortable the whole time.
Wish we were still there.

Archery turned out to be a lot more fun then we would have imagined. We're taking about talking some classes.

Below is Goddess Jenn the Huntress. Doesn't she look cool?

Wholy crap. That's hardcore.

And, is it possible to have a double "ess" title? (Goddess AND Huntress?)

If so, that's impressive.

I think my "ess"s for Jenn would be,
Goddess
Huntress
Art"ess"t Artist
Princess

I wonder if I can fit them all in?

Wow, great pix, Betty. I didn't know Jenn is into archery. I competed some while in college using a re-curve.

I definitely want to take up archery, too! Can I wear a cool Goddess Diana-style toga? :)

Very cool. I'm not very athletic, but I've always wondered if I'd be good at archery.

(1) I've always loved archery. Haven't done it in years, though. It used to be really big in Cincy (because of Daryl Pace). Got to hang out with the British Olympic Archery team too. That was fun.

(2) My favorites are temptress, mistress, and distress.

(3) Betty, I missed you. Had a good time in Cincy, though.

Missed you, too, Dell. You and Merline have both been archers! Who knew it was so popular.

Observing the interest this has generated, I'm wondering if we should hold a 1 day archery workshop and all of us learn.
We could become "the writing archers of the blogosphere".

I can think of several intriguing uses of archery in a contemporary. It would have to be historical. The archery scene in "Her Alibi" came instantly to mind. But there could be so many more.

WOULDN'T have to be historical.

Jeez.

The writing archers?

Cool concept. No telling how many literary critics we could intimidate.
