Bad News/Good News

Well, the doctor phoned to say she found a mass. (Something about a thickening in the uterine wall.)
It is not big.

I am going in a week from Thursday to have a tissue sample taken.
It is outpatient and apparently not the most pleasant procedure in the world.

Send positive thoughts my way.

Honey, you ask and I'll send it!

I had a biopsy on my uterus a while back and let me tell you... when the doctor says, "this is going to be uncomfortable." BELIEVE! ugh.. talk about pain. makes the normal pap look like a walk in the park.

Okay, Betty. We got too much negative stuff happening in the health department.

I think it's time you and I start doing this contest thing and get sold. Happy news would be good, yes?

Hugs.

I hear you.

Between your family and mine, we're going to need a truck load of sage and happy thoughts to get back on track.

Betty when you say truckload of sage and happy thoughts, do you mean sage thoughts and happy thoughts, or do you mean sage, as in parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme? If the latter, then what healing properties of sage are you speaking of? ;-)

Ha! That was well written, wasn't it?

I speak of the Native American custom of smudging with the herb sage. It is done for purification and cleansing.

Or we can light a bunch of purple candles. Did the burning sage thing once and did it wrong. Badly. Stinky house.

Okay, "BIG GRIN"

If we light purple candles and sage, can we then call ourselves. . .

Writers of the Purple Sage?

(Just occurred to me that you youngin's might not remember Roy Rogers and the Riders of the Purple Sage.) What is purple sage, anyway? How is it different than regular sage? Does it matter?

Hmmm.
I need more to occupy my mind. I'm wandering again and that can be dangerous.

Hmmm.
I wonder if they smudge their manuscripts?

There is a group called Writers of the Purple Sage. They are affiliates of OWFI. (grin)
